Hello hello!

Anchorage has been unusually hot this summer, it's about 75 right now and  been in the 70s or 80s almost everyday...we're not used to this but I guess I shouldn't complain.  It snowed about 6in the day before I came home which meant we couldn't get out to our cabin for Memorial Day (the lake was still frozen and Tanner was still on crutches from his back-flip on nordic skis mishap) so we went down to Seward instead.  Seward is a cute little town a few hours south of Anchorage, a lot of people fish from there and it's the home of the terrifying 4th of July Mt. Marathon mountain running race.  My favorite part about Seward is the freakin awesome SeaLife center!! I hadn't been there in so long but you get to see seals and sealions and all sorts of things super close!  And touch starfish and all sorts of other little creatures.

My summer hasn't been too exciting.  Lots of training and I'm working for a flying service company, which means lots of interesting/difficult/awesome tourists.  Also, I went on one of our flights out over the mountains and to Prince William Sound and it was gorgeous!

Caitlin had a wonderful and very Alaskan experience. She was here for a week and we went hiking in the snow, saw lots of moose and bears, had almost 20 hours of daylight, went out to the cabin and had all sorts of adventures. And she met Teagan!

I'm so sad I won't see all of you for so long but I'm also FUCKING PUMPED to go to Europe!!  I have my ticket to Hungary and then when we get to Hungary we're actually headed to Spain for 5 days before orientation starts! (just bought the tickets to Spain and I'm super excited if you couldn't tell, but I need to work on my Spanish before then)

I hope everyone is having an awesome summer. POST, PEOPLE, POST! I want to know your lives!  Izzo I'm glad you're having such a blast in France and Annika I hope the wedding was fabulous :)

love,
the tiny eskimo
